Princess Eugenie is pregnant, Buckingham Palace announced Friday — which will make dad Prince Andrew a grandfather for the first time.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021,” the palace tweeted.
“The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news,” the announcement said.
Eugenie, 30, also posted a photo of her and her husband holding some teddy bear-shaped baby slippers, writing, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021….👶🏻”
Her mother — Andrew’s ex, Fergie — said she was “excited” about the baby news, which follows a tumultuous time for the family amid the ongoing scandal of Andrew’s ties to late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother,” she tweeted. “Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy.”
Eugenie married Brooksbank two years ago in a star-studded royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter is 10th in line to the throne — and her child will be the 11th in line, the Guardian said.
However, because the child comes from the female line of the family, it will not be an HRH or hold a royal title — unless the queen decides to intervene and give one first to Brooksbank, the report said.
