RESULTS SO FAR
ATHLETICS: Kamalpreet Kaur has qualified for the women's discus throw final on August 2 after finishing second in Group B with a best of 64m. Seema Punia, in Group A, didn't make the final after a best throw of 60.57m.
ARCHERY: Atanu Das lost 6-4 to Japan's Takaharu Furukawa in the pre-quarterfinals, bringing his Tokyo Olympics to an end. He was the last Indian archer in contention at the Games.
BOXING: Amit Panghal lost 4-1 to Yuberjen Martinez of Colombia in the men's flyweight round of 16.
HOCKEY: India women beat South Africa 4-3 to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive. Ireland must beat Great Britain and hold on to their better goal difference to make the last eight over India. Ireland are currently ahead of India on that count by two goals. Any other result will mean India advance to the quarterfinals. Ireland play Great Britain at 5:15 PM.
SHOOTING: Anjum Moudgil and Tejaswini Sawant fail to make the women's 50m rifle 3 positions final after finishing 15th and 33rd, respectively, in qualification.
