IT WAS a sunset among the stars at Gateway of India on Thursday. The 17th Mumbai Film Festival ( MAMI) got underway with the pomp you would expect from an annual film gala cohosted by Nita Ambani and Aamir Khan’s filmmaker wife, Kiran Rao. So as Katrina Kaif preened, Alia Bhatt posed and Kangana Ranaut struck one for the shutterbugs, MAMI got its biggest- ever opening in its 17- year run so far.
